Application Integration – Put Your Application On A Mobile Platform
You’ve developed a great application but it lacks mobility. Why not make it mobile, and even robotic.
Integrating applications into mobile and robotic platforms is a complex process requiring numerous skills and training. These skills include knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, control engineering and computer engineering. These skills have been integrated into engineering programs under the term mechatronics. A mechatronics engineer unites the principles of mechanics, electronics, and computing to generate a simpler, more economical and reliable system.
RTT team members are not just students and practitioners of mechatronics, they are also instructors. See the university classes we teach here. Most importantly, we are mobile robotic and automated manufacturing platform specialists.
Here’s how we think about our integration tasks:
This of course is a high level or meta abstraction of the kinds of areas we address in our integration activities. The real world look more like this:
Not to mention the software code we write for data collection, vision processing, user assist programs (e.g., weld assist, etc.), data management, machine and user utilization reports and cloud reporting.
Bottom line: integration of applications into new platforms is complex work. And we love it. Let us help you!
